Interconsul was founded in Parma in 1978 as a company providing language support to firms operating abroad, hence the company name still in use.

After being taken over by the current partners as a limited liability company in 1997, Interconsul has specialised in highly  qualified language services, in particular, translation, interpreting and language training.

Interconsul Events Division (IDE) was founded in 2003 to offer integrated service packages for public or corporate events, conferences, meetings, gala dinners, international meetings and symposia.

In 2008, with the aim of constantly improving the quality of the services offered, the company decided to introduce a Quality Management System which led to its certification in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 Standard in June 2009 and the ISO 9001:2008 Standard in April 2010.

The company’s evolution has followed that of its customers. Alongside the core business of translation, interpreting and language training, other services have been developed, such as international secretarial services, the providing of hostesses and stewards, and above all, conference and event organisation activities.
